Firstly, Lesley Ward founded the business in 2013, in the town of Horsham, West Sussex. Did you know that this ancient town was once famous for its gingerbread production? So, Lesley and her family wanted to revive this fame for the town, using her large collection of historical and handwritten recipes! As a result, Horsham Gingerbread was born.
Today, the delicious Christmas gingerbread is baked in small batches at a family-run bakery near Chichester. And, we only use the best local ingredients, thus ensuring that your gingerbread is perfect every time!
Lesley and her daughters continue to experiment with traditional gingerbread recipes to create the full range of Christmas gingerbread that we offer each year.
