Firstly, Lesley Ward founded Horsham Gingerbread in 2013, in the town of Horsham, West Sussex. The ancient town was once famed for its gingerbread production. Furthermore, it was the notion of reviving this fame and her collection of historic, handwritten recipes that inspired Lesley to develop her products. Today, the biscuits are all baked in small batches at a family-run bakery near Chichester. Plus, they only contain the finest locally-sourced ingredients. This ensures that all of our gluten free biscuits are as delicious as can be!

Lesley and her daughters continue to experiment with traditional recipes to create our range of savoury and sweet biscuits to suit all tastes! Naturally Gluten Free

Our gluten free biscuits taste delicious, and it’s all down to the extra-special ingredients that we use. Locally-grown linseed flour is a naturally gluten free product that we use to create our unique biscuits. Furthermore, our biscuits contain black treacle or local honey to keep them sweet and offer an amazing replacement for gluten!

In addition, for your peace of mind and safety, we make our original recipe (which is not gluten free due to the local wholemeal flour) separately from all of our other products.
