Firstly, Lesley Ward founded the business in 2013, in the town of Horsham, West Sussex. Did you know that this ancient town was once famous for its gingerbread production? Lesley and her family wanted to bring this fame back to the town, using her extensive collection of handwritten, historical recipes, so Horsham Gingerbread was born.

Today, the delicious gluten free biscuits are baked in small batches at a family-run bakery near Chichester, with the best local ingredients, ensuring that you get a tasty treat every time!

Lesley and her daughters continue to experiment with traditional gluten free gingerbread biscuit recipes to create the full range that Horsham Gingerbread offers. Naturally Gluten Free Gingerbread Biscuits

Our gluten free gingerbread biscuits taste delicious because of the extra-special ingredients that go into every batch. We use locally-grown linseed flour as a naturally gluten free alternative to regular flour in our gluten free products. Furthermore, black treacle or honey keeps them wonderfully sweet and offers a great gluten replacement.

Whether you’re choosing gluten free because of dietary requirements, just want to try something new, or health reasons, we can guarantee that you’ll love our biscuits! And, because our recipes are naturally gluten free, we’re not removing anything, so you won’t even notice their gluten free!

In addition, we make our original recipe gingerbread (which is not a gluten free recipe, due to the local wholemeal flour) separately from all of our other products, for your peace of mind and safety.
